COURSE:      Managing the Process with E-Discovery (2.0)

DATE:            Thursday, December 6, 2018 - December 7, 2018

LOCATION:   Frilot LLC, 1100 Poydras St. #3600

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for participants who have already participated in the “Arbitrating in the Digital World:  Fair and Expeditious Management of Electronic Discovery (ESI)” course or already have a fundamental understanding of ESI issues and want to learn more practical applications for managing e-discovery from the preliminary hearing to the award.

As motions to compel ESI continue to increase in arbitration, this two-day “fly-in – fly-out” course provides the participants with the tools for managing the arbitration process with voluminous electronic discovery.  Using “real” case scenarios, the participants will have an interactive experience for addressing ESI issues to include identifying search terms, custodians, date ranges, and metadata for developing the arbitrator’s order.

The course will also provide the participant with how to address data protection in the US and EU (General Data Protection Regulations or “GDRP” effective May 25, 2018) and cybersecurity issues in the arbitration context and how to manage discovery of information from the Internet of Things.  This program also includes a demonstration of a typical review platform and search methodologies used by parties and their clients from a national ESI vendor.

This course will also be offerered on the following dates and in the following cities:

 Chicago - Thursday June 14, 2018 - Friday, June 15, 2018
