Frilot partner John B. Cazale has extensive trial experience in the Medical Malpractice and Healthcare Practice Area. Mr. Cazale has served as second chair on several jury trials and bench trials in multiple district courts throughout Louisiana. Extending outside the realm of medical malpractice, Mr. Cazale has handled general premises liability cases for healthcare facilities, peer review proceedings for doctors facing the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, and has helped prepare policies and procedures for hospitals with respect to the legal aspects of patient care.

Mr. Cazale has represented a wide array of healthcare providers, including doctors, physical therapists, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient surgery centers, and physical therapy clinics. Mr. Cazale has also worked on the defense teams for cases involving pharmaceutical products liability and mass tort claims. Mr. Cazale argued the merits of one of his most high profile cases, Medine vs. Dr. Richard Roniger, in front of the Louisiana State Supreme Court in 2003.

A graduate of the Loyola University School of Law, where he served as the Articles Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal, Mr. Cazale is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He recently served on the board of not for profit organization Desire NOLA, a civic group designed to assist in the redevelopment of the small business community in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
