Frilot partner Nairda T. Colon (Lesa) focuses primarily in the defense of medical malpractice, healthcare law, medical products, and general liability related cases. She represents hospitals, physicians, long term healthcare facilities, and other healthcare providers and organizations. Her litigation experience includes an extensive range of medical malpractice, healthcare and general liability matters. Ms. Colon entered Frilot's second clerkship class in 1996, joining the firm after graduating cum laude from Tulane Law School in 1997.

Ms. Colon has taught the Medical Malpractice Louisiana Tort Class at Tulane Law School since 2007, and she also leads a quarterly in-service program for area hospitals, covering legal issues as part of the orientation program for incoming nurses. She gave a presentation entitled 'How to Take a Medical Expert's Deposition' at a Defense Research Institute conference in 2004. Ms. Colan is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the New Orleans Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

Ms. Colon is dedicated to helping her hometown rebuild and recover from Hurricane Katrina. She is an active volunteer with the Save NOLA project, Habitat for Humanity, and the Make it Right Foundation.
