Brandon K. Thibodeaux is a partner in the firm's Admiralty & Maritime, Commercial Litigation and Transportation & Trucking practice areas. He handles a wide range of complex litigation in both federal and state courts. 

In admiralty and maritime matters, Mr. Thibodeaux represents the interests of P&I clubs, hull and machinery underwriters, foreign and domestic vessel owners, cargo interests, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, oil companies, ship agents, ship brokers, maritime salvors and marine surveyors. His practice includes litigation of cargo claims, personal injury claims, charter party disputes, vessel collisions, professional negligence, marine insurance disputes, and toxic tort/environmental pollution matters in both traditional blue water, oceangoing steamship trade and brown water inland operations. He also specializes in the implementation of the remedies and procedures set out in the Supplemental Rules for Admiralty or Maritime Claims and Asset Forfeiture Actions such as the maritime attachment and arrest of vessels and other property. 

Mr. Thibodeaux's practice also focuses on complex issues revolving around domestic overland transport.  In that area, Mr. Thibodeaux specializes in defending freight brokers from all manner of claims, including cargo and personal injury. 

Mr. Thibodeaux joined the firm after working as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald E. Walter and the Honorable S. Maurice Hicks, Jr. both in the United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana. 

Mr. Thibodeaux brings a strong educational background to the firm. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law. While in law school, he was Symposium and Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, the preeminent student-edited law journal in the field of Admiralty and Maritime Law. Prior to law school, he earned his Master of Science, with Distinction, in International Finance and Economic Policy from the University of Glasgow Faculty of Law, and he received his Master of Arts, with Distinction, in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ulster, Magee Campus Faculty of Arts in Derry, Northern Ireland. Additionally, he graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
