Allyson Colomb is an associate with the firm’s Admiralty & Maritime practice area. She has extensive experience with motion practice, including briefing and arguing, as well as appellate brief writing. Recently, she independently achieved a successful verdict in a subrogation matter before a judge. Her expertise and dedication make her a valuable asset to our team.

A native of New Orleans, Allyson completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, before pursuing her Juris Doctorate at Loyola University College of Law, graduating cum laude. During her time in law school, Allyson was actively involved in various organizations. She held executive board positions in the Student Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and Maritime Law Society. Additionally, she was a member of the Federal Bar Association and contributed to Loyola's Maritime Law Journal. Allyson also served as a teaching assistant for legal research and writing for two years and received the Law Excellence Award in Trial Advocacy and Civil Law Property.

While serving as a Rule XX student practitioner at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office, Allyson successfully prosecuted two criminal cases in the 24th Judicial District Court. She was awarded the J. Skelly Wright Award for Exceptional Oral Ability for her performance as the top oralist in Loyola's Moot Court competition. On a national level, Allyson was one of ten law school graduates selected for the National Order of the Barristers, acknowledging her excellence in oral advocacy.

Allyson represented Loyola in several competitions, including the National First Amendment Moot Court team, the John L. Costello National Criminal Law Trial Advocacy Competition, and the American Association of Justice Trial Advocacy Competition, where she achieved runner-up status as a defense attorney.

She completed externships with the Honorable Jay C. Zainey and the Honorable Janis van Meerveld in the Eastern District of Louisiana. Allyson has been awarded Loyola's Dean's Scholarship, the Lanasa Greco Providence Scholarship, and the American Association of Justice's Leesfield Scholarship.
